Family Vacation to San Diego

We decided to go to San Diego this year for our summer vacation. It was lots of fun, even if it takes 10 hours to get there. I love San Diego and wish we could go all the time, but it's too far away. We stayed in Vegas on the way there and the way back home. We went to the Hard Rock to eat dinner, and the kids were very excited about the life size Kiss people. This is there rock star pose.
We also walked through the Bellagio, got to love those fountains.

The first thing we did when we got to San Diego was go to the beach. I think the kids would have liked to do that every day. It was really fun! How awesome would it be to live right by the beach. This was Lilly's first time there. She loved it! We all did.

Family Vacation to San Diego

We went to Lego land for the first time. Noah loves Lego's, so I thought he'd love it. It was a pretty fun. They had a lot of cool things made out of Lego's and the landscaping was beautiful.
Grandpa took Noah on this ride, cuz no one else wanted to get wet. It was pretty funny to watch them get blasted from the water cannon that Devin kept shooting them with, even though Grandpa had no idea that was why he was getting so wet, until after he got off the ride.

This was a miniature city of Vegas made out of Lego's, pretty cool.

We went down to the board walk and the kids thought they could catch crabs off the rocks, but that didn't happen. The balloon man was fun, he made kenna a cute bear and then asked Noah what he wanted, but he couldn't decide. The balloon man offered many choices, but none sounded good to Noah. He finally told the balloon man that he would like a scorpion, totally random I have no idea where he came up with that one. Even though he had never made one before it turned out pretty good.

We also went to Sea World. It was lots of fun. Mckenna loved it and really wished she could swim with the dolphins, but it was too expensive. The shows were way fun, especially the dolphin show. The kids made sure that they were right up front for Shamu, and got soaked, but they loved it.

We went to the San Diego Zoo. This was the last day on our trip and the kids were pretty tired of walking. We had to rent a stroller to push Noah around in all day, he's a lazy little guy.

The petting zoo was fun for the kids. Mckenna loved the little ponies.

Devin and Mckenna are pretty scary monkeys!

We took this picture in the rain forest part of the zoo. I thought it was very pretty.

We had to wait in line to see the panda's, but it was worth it. This cute little guy was sleeping and right when we walked past he woke up and posed for a picture and then laid back down to go to sleep. It was so cool, they are so stinkin cute.

The kids got to have one last swim at the pool in Vegas on the way home. Noah's favorite part of the whole vacation was swimming in the pools. He had a lot of fun jumping off of Grandpa's shoulders.

SNOW DAY

FIRST SNOW DAY OF THE YEAR!
Lilly had a lot of fun being pulled on the sled. Almost as fun as Jeremy had pulling her. When we first took her out she seemed really confused with all of the snow. She hated wearing gloves, but got used to it after awhile. Noah was too sick to come out and play, but Mckenna had a good time with the neighbors.

POLAR EXPRESS

I finally got a new computer so posting on my blog is easier, hopefully I can keep it updated better. We got to ride on the Polar Express this week. It was really cool. None of us had ever been on a train before, so it was a great ride. We did almost miss it though, due to the bad roads. We got on a few minutes before it pulled away. The snow made it a perfect North Pole experience.

First Day of School

Kayleigh is going into 7th grade this year. This will be her first experience in Junior High. It's strange she is so old, but also fun and exciting especially for her. She was a little scared, but everything went great and she really likes Junior High.
Mckenna is going to 4th grade. She wasn't as excited to start school again, but she still had s good day.

Summer of Fun, Bear Lake

For our vacation this year we decided to go to Bear Lake. Most of us have never been there before, so it was fun to go somewhere new. We stayed in this really great cabin that was big enough for all 20 of us. The kids loved being together all the time and it was nice to be able to eat most of our meals without leaving the cabin. The view was beautiful from our deck. The water was really blue and not as cold as I thought it would be. We rented a boat and had a lot of fun on it. The kids also really liked playing in all the sand and just swimming in the water. Noah loves his goggles. It was a great vacation, no one wanted to come home, but there's always next year.

We had to try the raspberry shakes while in Bear Lake, even though the wait was quite long. They were pretty good and the kids were happy just to be together. While we were eating shakes Jeremy, Noah, Steve, Taylor, and Devin got to go golfing. They had a good time and Noah loved driving the golf cart.

The kids had a great time swimming in the indoor pool where we stayed. The hot tub was one of Noah's favorite things and since the one at the cabin was really gross he was happy they had one indoors too. Lilly loves to swim and isn't afraid at all, so we had to watch her really close or she would just dive in. Jeremy loves to throw the kids in the air when we go swimming and I think they like it as much as he does, almost. He decided Noah should try a flip (pic. below). Noah didn't want to try that again.
